Yesterday, I met a friend for dinner at a restaurant in town. I had planned to walk there. However, not even two minutes into the 20-minute walk, I turned around, walked back home, grabbed my bike and biked to the restaurant instead. Why?

My cat followed me as I was walking to the restaurant. While I enjoy his company, I don't want him to stray too far from our house because I'm afraid he might get lost. So I turned around and the two of us walked back home. I then grabbed my bike, knowing that he can't keep up with me when I'm biking and therefore won't follow me.
