Mike and a group of friends, including John, were smuggling alcohol on board a cruise ship as they didn't want to pay for the overpriced booze on board. To sneak it past security, Mike poured it into one of John's bottles of eye solution. After the cruise, he gave the not-empty bottle back to John, who forgot about it.

Two months later, John needed eye solution and found the bottle, unsuspectingly getting liquor in the eye and needing medical attention.

("Mike" is really Michael J. Nelson of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and RiffTrax fame; he told this story on his bad-books podcast 372 Pages We'll Never Get Back.)
