Last year I did something that I hadn't been doing for many years. When I was young I did it quite often, sometimes several times a year. Then less often, then for a last time in 2009, and then not at all any more until last year.
What is it?

Days? Weeks? Months? Years? does it take longer to do when you're older? Is it harder to do when you're older? More expensive? Less interesting? Does it cost anything? Does it require other people? Some object? Animal?

Is it a leisure activity? Can you do it in a lot of cities? Is it done outdoors? inside? Can you do it on your own? Do you need other people to do it? Did you like doing it when you were younger? Was something keeping you from doing it in the subsequent years? Was someone keeping you from doing it?

Is this somethings all people do? Most people do? Many people do? Hard to say. Certainly many people do it, but might perhaps not pay so much attention to it. Do the people who do this typically do it less often with age? Possibly, hard to say again. If so, do they have to? Possibly. Does it take seconds to do? Minutes? Hours? The activity itself might be done within a few minutes or hours .. Days? Weeks? Months? .. but usually requires preparation of days to months. Years? does it take longer to do when you're older? Not necessarily. Is it harder to do when you're older? Yes. More expensive? Potentially, yes. Less interesting? No. Does it cost anything? Yes. Does it require other people? Some object? Animal? No to the rest.

Does this only work with international travel? Domestic?

Is it something you do while you are actually making the journey? Something you do in between arriving and going back home?

Is a hotel involved? Other place of accommodation? Car rental? Figuring out train or bus schedules? Getting directions? Adjusting time zones?

Can it be done in cities too? Does doing it (*childish snicker*) require another person?

The activity is travelling to a country where I've never been before. Naturally, when you're young and start to travel abroad, you will come to a new country all and often. Then, the more countries you've already visited, the harder it becomes to come across a place where you not had been yet. For me, the trips to new countries came to a pause in 2009 after a vacation in Malta. Until last October when I was in Feldkirch, Austria, and decided to take a visit to neighbouring Liechtenstein. (20 minutes walk)
