[Doriana] Walk the walk

Postby Doriana » Thu Jun 10, 2021 8:22 pm

Sierra (H/A/F) goes for a walk. She comes home feeling proud of and happy for ten people she's never met.

Did she start at Point A and end at Point B (on her walk)? Or did she start at Point A and return to that same start point?
Is the kind of place where she started relevant? Where she ended? Where she went along the way?
Did she walk less than a mile? Did she walk indoors? Outdoors? Both?
Did she walk alone? Or did anyone accompany her? Were any animals with her? If yes, were they pets?
Did she speak to anyone during the time she was walking? If yes, in person? Face to face? By phone?
Did she pause or stop at all between the time the walk started and when it ended?
Does she know all 10 people personally? Does she know any of them?
Does she meet any of them while walking? Does she see any or all of them while walking?

Did she meet the ten people face to face? During her walk? If not, did the 10 people belong to the past? Were historical figures? Did she read their story? Is any monument/statue relevant?

To be sure: when feeling proud and happy, did she know that she was proud and happy for exactly ten people? Was it her first safe walk after a while? I must explain: I imagined something like she could not go for a walk safely in the past (e.g. for cultural reasons/because there was a war...), but then ten political leaders that she did not know signed a peace and she felt safe in walking? Something like that?

Did something relevant happen during the walk? If so, something negative? an accident?

Did the ten people do something good? saved someone? Saved a country? saved themselves?

Did these 10 people achieve something? which also made Sierra be proud? if so: did any of them achieve it alone? or did they achieve it as a group? Would it have been possible that one person alone achieved the same? if so: would this have made Sierra equally proud?
Did Sierra learn about this while walking? Did she see? hear? read? some information?
Did she see relevant information on a billboard? in a newspaper? someone told her? someone called her by phone? send her a message? Did she hear relevant information in the radio?
Do these people have in common: gender? nationality? ethnical background? profession? hobby? a specific skill or talent? a political view? are they famous?
Relevant that it's 10? an even number? five couples? two groups of five?

Did these 10 people achieve something? Yes which also made Sierra be proud? Yes if so: did any of them achieve it alone? or did they achieve it as a group? Each of them achieved it individually Would it have been possible that one person alone achieved the same? Technically yes, but extremely unlikely in practice if so: would this have made Sierra equally proud? Yes
Did Sierra learn about this while walking? Yes Did she see? hear? read? some information? Yes, see
Did she see relevant information on a billboard? in a newspaper? someone told her? someone called her by phone? send her a message? Did she hear relevant information in the radio? No to all
Do these people have in common: gender? nationality? ethnical background? It's very likely that most or all of them have the same nationality and ethnical background profession? Yes for svv of "profession" hobby? a specific skill or talent? a political view? are they famous? No to rest
Relevant that it's 10? an even number? five couples? two groups of five? Irrel to all

Did they make this achievement on purpose? or, rather, accidentally?
Is the achievement in the area of: politics? science? arts? business? personal life?
Would others benefit from the achievement? or mainly the person who made the achievement?
Did they all make the achievement (more or less) at the same time? while Sierra was on her walk?
Did any of them know about the achievements of the others?
Were they the only people with this kind of achievement? or singled out from all people with similar achievement by some additional quality? (like: all olympic medalists who were born in one particular city)
Was Sierra present when the achievement was made? or did she directly see the results of it? or did she see more indirect consequences of it?
Did she see written information? information that reported about the achievement?
Did she walk along a walk of fame?
Is the annual Nobel Laureate Meeting in Lindau relevant?

Is the achievement related to education? relationships? family? work? health? living conditions? quality of life?
Were these people all from Sierra's home region?
Were they children? parents?
Would any other person who did the same walk at the same time also feel proud for these 10 people? or did Sierra have some special knowledge? some extra link to these people?
Would Sierra feel equally proud if she did this walk one week earlier? one week later?

Is there some obscure ritual school finishers do in this town? Like throwing their schoolbags out of the window?
Did Sierra observe some behavior of people in the streets that she connected to the last day in school? because she remembered it from her own last day in school?

Is there some obscure ritual school finishers do in this town? Yes (not just in her town, though) Like throwing their schoolbags out of the window? Surprisingly close!
Did Sierra observe some behavior of people in the streets that she connected to the last day in school? Yesish because she remembered it from her own last day in school? No

Well done, Sundowner! Time for the

********SPOILER********

On the day that Dutch secondary school students receive the results of their eindexamen (final exams needed to graduate), they fly a Dutch flag and attach their school bag to the flagpole to let everyone know that they've passed. Sierra takes a walk around her neighbourhood and sees 10 flags with school bags on the flagpole, so she's happy for and proud of (at least) ten graduates she has never met.
