Does it say something rude? Something he doesn't want to be associated with him? This Something significant to him? Such as a date? Does it remind him of something he'd rather forget? Is it too easily recognizable? Too hard to recognize? Is anything else on the plate relevant? Such as a logo? Color? No to rest
trebor2
Did he have a car already? Irrel Was he unable to transfer his current plate number to the car? n/a Is it not an option to do so where he lives? Correct, transferring plate numbers or choosing your own is not an option where he lives
Was the plate a vanity plate? Was there something offensive about it that made him not want to buy from that person? Was there something unique about the number? Was it from another jurisdiction (like another province/state/country)? No to all
********SPOILER********
In the Netherlands, a license number is tied to a particular car. If you buy a used car, you are stuck with whatever license number it was first registered under. Carlos, who happens to be homophobic, is shopping for a used car and finds one that ticks all his boxes, but the license number includes the letter combination LG-BT, so he decides not to buy it.
Based on a real car I saw the other day.
Well done, GalFisk and trebor!
