assuming that the clean towels had not been yet used and that clean towels and dirty towel are used the same way, are they used: as towels in spa? in sauna? as beach towels? as towels for hygene in restaurants/bathrooms/houses? as cleaning towels? as towels in gym for sweat? For no specific purpose?

assuming that the clean towels had not been yet used and that clean towels and dirty towel are used the same way, are they used: as towels in spa? in sauna? as beach towels? as towels for hygene in restaurants/bathrooms/houses? as cleaning towels? as towels in gym for sweat? For no specific purpose? assume they are normal bathroom towels, to be used to turn clean, wet bodies into clean, dry bodies

Is the purpose of ironing the towel that he can check whether the iron makes things dirty, without ruining a clean item if it turns out that it does? Does he want the towel as evidence that the iron makes things dirty? To make a complaint?

He is using the iron in his hotel room. Over time, these can accumulate mineral deposits which result in indelible stains on clothing when steam is released. He tested the iron on a used bathroom towel to ensure it was safe.
