[klondike mary] It's agin nature

Postby klondike mary » Fri Apr 09, 2021 6:52 pm

Caroline says her dog, Baby, brought up her cat, Tigger.
Those who observe them might wonder.
Tigger probably has a different idea.

Those who wonder: do they possibly think that Baby did not bring up Tigger? That Tigger brought up Baby?
Does Tigger probably think that s/he brought up Baby?

Is a specific behavior relevant? If so, Baby's? Tigger's?
Are their relative ages relevant? If so, is Baby older?

Those who wonder: do they possibly think that Baby did not bring up Tigger? That Tigger brought up Baby? Possibly this, or they about equally brought each other up.
Does Tigger probably think that s/he brought up Baby? Maybe thinks she failed to bring up Baby right.

Is a specific behavior relevant? If so, Baby's? Tigger's? Several behaviors are relevant; from Tigger's p.o.v., one in particular.
Are their relative ages relevant? If so, is Baby older? Yes, Baby is older and has seniority in the family.

Did Baby adopt cat-like behavior? Aside from the fact that the two animals play together like kittens or puppies, No. But Tigger-the-cat seems to expect Baby-the-dog to adopt cat-like behavior.Did Tigger adopt dog-like behavior? No.

Is Tigger a stuffed animal?

Sorry for the ignorance: does the puzzle mean that Caroline ask her dog to take her cat and bring the cat to her?

Is the cat like behavior Tigger is expecting from Baby: purring? rubbing heads? winking with the eyes? using the cat flap? eating cat food? hunting mice? using the litter box?

Did Baby actually use the litter box? or attempt to use it? Did Baby use the litter box already before Tigger started to use it?

***********************SPOILER***********************
I think I will just go ahead and spoil this. Baby & Tigger get along fine, and even play together like a couple of puppies (or kittens). Tigger uses a litter box inside the house, but Baby usually goes outside, being a dog. But at night, or when it rains, or when Caroline just doesn't feel like taking her out, Baby uses what is called a "pee pad" in the house. When Tigger comes across one of these that has been used, she fastidously folds it over on itself, as if trying to bury it, with a look of disapproval on her face.
