Trouble: an inconvenience? A scare? A loss? Prevention of a gain? Prevention of serendipity? Did she relevantly look for the object? Report the loss? Get a replacement? Was it pickpocketed? Grabbed? Bigger than a breadbox?

Was Betty in the end happy that the item was gone? was it that ugly

?
Did the absence of the item give Betty an excuse?
Would she have to have paid for getting rid of the item?
Was the item taken from her house? from her belongings? outside her house? from her car? (was it her car?)
Was there a relevant time difference between the theft itself and it working out as a favor for her?

Skipping some questions because Sundowner's WAG is spot on
WAG: Did she move and, so, did not have to carry the bike to her new place?
********SPOILER********
A month before Becky's international move, her cargo bike was stolen from her apartment complex's underground parking. This worked out in Becky's favour because she didn't have to worry about fitting the rather bulky bike into the moving van or the bike getting damaged during the move. Instead, she used her insurance payout to buy a new identical bike after the move.
