[Doriana] Death and taxes

Postby doriana_ » Tue Aug 02, 2022 11:02 am

It's only Tuesday but I already know that all of my houseplants will be dead by the end of the week. How come?

True story, I = Doriana = H/A/F

Have you locked yourself out or gone away? Is someone else staying or working in your house? Have you acquired a housemate/lodger/animal? Will other things be interfered with or damaged besides your plants? Is there anything you can do to prevent your plants dying?

Do you expect to kill the houseplants? Eat them? Someone else to do this? Weather relevant? Household conditions relevant? Pets?

Have they already started dying? Is their natural life cycle relevant? Do they do something near the end of their life that they have already started to do?

Are you just really good at telling the future? (Bam. That’s it. I solved it.)

Are you at home this week? if not, is someone taking care of your plants?
Are the plants inside? outside your house?
Will the plants die by lack of water?
Relevant what kind of plants? Are they edible? (like kitchen herbs) will you eat them?
Do you move and don't want to take the plants with you?

Are your plants en-route to/from your house, e.g. being moved to/from a different house, shop, school etc? Are they at some other location (house shop school etc)? Is it relevant what your plants are doing besides just sitting there, e.g. experiment, propagation, project, prop? Are your plants deprived of light? Would the puzzle work if these were not your plants? Are they in transit?

Will the plants lose their roots? Perhaps owing to construction or other significant vibration nearby?

Will there be a lack of sunlight? Animal attacks? Relevant weather?

Regarding the FA to the plants being outside your house: is the FA that you have a house? That the plants are outside? That all your plants are in the same place?

Properties of the plants relevant? CO2, photosynthesis, other process? Are they in the greenhouse, shed etc? Weather/temperature relevant? Was someone meant to water them?

Are these plants usually kept in the house? were they ever in your house? did someone put them outside? are they in the house but not in your appartment (like, at the staircase, by the entrance door) are they on the window sill?
Do you kill the plants on purpose? do you more to kill them than just stop watering? are the plants in pots? do you take them out of the pot? cut them into pieces?
do you use organic material from the plants in some way?
Do you need to get rid of the plants? are you not allowed to have houseplants? these kind of plants?
Are the plants (potentially) poisonous?

Sarisberie
Properties of the plants relevant? CO2, photosynthesis, other process? Are they in the greenhouse, shed etc? Weather/temperature relevant? Was someone meant to water them? No to all

do you use organic material from the plants in some way?
Do you need to get rid of the plants? are you not allowed to have houseplants? these kind of plants?

Are they in a truck? Container? Storage unit? Car? Were they put where they are with the intention that they'd die? That they'd get light sooner? Is there a delay in something? A problem with something?

Is it relevant why you are moving them if you already know whey're dying? Do you expect or hope to revive them? Will they serve a purpose even when dead, e.g seeds? Are they in a vehicle, Are they deliberately deprived of light, or as an unfortunate result of being moved, or in the dark while in transit? Are they going to be used as a prop or display? Outside = at night? In a garden centre? Tent? On a plane or other vehicle? Covid relevant? Are they in boxes/other containers?

Skipping the other questions because we have all we need for the

********SPOILER********

When I moved back to Germany from the Netherlands, my moving van broke down half an hour into the drive and had to be towed. It took the garage a week to repair it, during which all of my houseplants that were in the truck were deprived of water and light.
