Well done remembering that! The spaces on the treble clef are indeed for the notes F, A, C, and high E. This is all close enough for a

I teach piano lessons. One of my students is learning how to read notes on the treble clef (which is the twiddly one that looks kind of like a fancy G, for notes above middle C). The clef is comprised of lines and spaces. The bottom line is for E, the middle for G, then, B, D, and a high F. Instead of the old mnemonic that everybody used to learn ("Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge"), I think it's helpful for students to come up with their own. This particular student came up with "Evil Gummy Bears Destroy France". This led to a particularly fruitful discussion about what France had ever done to gummy bears, how an army of gummy bears would advance, how gummy bears turn evil, and how it probably wouldn't turn out well for the gummy bears as French people would just scoop them up and eat them. Maybe on baguettes.
