[WiZ] Rick Rolls

Postby WiZ » Thu Nov 09, 2023 2:58 am

Rockstar Rick rents some luxury accommodation for a week. Halfway through the week, he is seen throwing perfectly good furniture, cushions and towels over a railing. The owners of the accommodation soon find out and thank him profusely. Why?

This might go very quickly. That might be for the best. No caveat.

Is it furniture from the accomodation? Is it his own furniture?
Is the railing part of the accomodation? part of Rick's own house? part of any other house?
Does he throw the furniture on the street? into the backyard? at the roadside? on a garbage dump? into the sea?
Is he simply giving away the furniture? donating it?
Did he do so in the past? Did people expect that he would do this? Did he announce it? Does he expect to be seen when he is throwing the stuff over? Is it during daytime? during night?
Is it legal what he is doing? Is he sane and sober?
Any particular feast/celebration/anniversary/tradition relevant?

Is he simply giving away the furniture? donating it? no to both
Did he do so in the past? no Did people expect that he would do this? I'm not sure they 'expected' it, but they understood quickly enough Did he announce it? no Does he expect to be seen when he is throwing the stuff over? not necessarily Is it during daytime? during night? irrelevant
Is it legal what he is doing? yes Is he sane and sober? yes to both
Any particular feast/celebration/anniversary/tradition relevant? no

Does it float out to sea? Is there a yesish disaster? A disaster in the making? A disaster on its way? Is a natural disaster relevant? Manmade?

Is the accomodation at the seaside? at a quay? directly bordering to the water?
Is there some disaster going on in the water? ship sinking? people drowning? animals drowning?
Is he throwing in pieces of furniture so that people can get hold on it? (though I don't see how cushions and towels could help here)
Relevant why he was staying in this place?

***** SPOILER *****

He is staying on a cruise ship. One day on deck, he notices someone has fallen overboard. He immediately throws deckchairs, cushions and towels into the water where the person fell to make them visible to rescuers.

Well done, Sundowner, on the solution, and thank you all for playing!
