Lately I've found myself thinking, "It's nice and I appreciate the sentiment, but this is actually getting annoying." What is going on?
I = me, trebor2. Possibly easy.

It: an object? Event? Saying? Something spoken, YES. But I wouldn't call it a saying, as in a phrase like "It's raining cats and dogs", or whatever. Text? Other media? Viral thing? Other Internet thing? Sound? Music? Nice: pretty? Helpful? This. Positive? Happy? Annoying: repetitive? This. Pointless? And this. Spammy? Stupid? Overdone?
Sundowner
Other people involved? Yes. one? two? three? many? One other person each time, but has happened multiple times and will likely continue to happen. friends? relatives? neighbors? people you know personally? people you meet frequently? A mix of all of these, and irrelevant. people who have something in common? No.

A problem (-ish) of yours? Yes. of someone else? of a group? of a group you belong to? of humankind?
Is the problem situation visible to the person that says something? Yes. does someone bring the situation to that person's attention? explain? ask for help? you? No to these.
Does the person directly speak to you? Yes. in person? Yes. face to face? And so, yes. via phone/video call? via text message? otherwise? Other methods would not work.
Does this happen indoors? outdoors? at day? If it's outdoors, it would likely not happen at night. When indoors, could happen at night, as long as I'm not at home.at night? near the place where you live? abroad? I have to be there, and that's about all about location that matters.
Misunderstanding relevant? Not in the way I think you're thinking. mismatch of languages? No.

Is light necessary for this to happen? Does the other person need to see you? to see your face? to recognize you?
Is the other person someone who knows you?
Would it never happen at your home? because the situation would not arise there? because the people who might say this are usually not at your home?
Does the other person think you need help? consolidation? something else? Do you need help? consolidation? something else?
Is what the other person is saying indeed helpful? consolidating? just annoying?
Traveling relevant?

Is light necessary for this to happen? Yes, because... Does the other person need to see you? this needs to happen. to see your face? Irrelevant. to recognize you? Doesn't matter.
Is the other person someone who knows you? It's a different person each time. Sometimes the person has known me, sometimes not.
Would it never happen at your home? because the situation would not arise there? This.because the people who might say this are usually not at your home?
Does the other person think you need help? DOYD consolidation? Do you mean "consolation"? If so, No. something else? Do you need help? consolidation? something else? No to these.
Is what the other person is saying indeed helpful? In most situations, what they're saying would be helpful to whomever they said it to. And their intent when they say it to me is to be helpful. consolidating? just annoying? They're not trying to be annoying when they say it. But I have been getting increasingly annoyed.
Traveling relevant? No, not in the sense of going on a trip or anything.
Galfisk
Did you forget my questions? Sure did, sorry about that!
Does the situation require an object? Yes. A building? It does not require a building. But it has happened in various buildings. Locks relevant? Keys? Irrelevant.

I still can't see that you answered my questions from Mon May 27.
I also have more questions: is the required object bigger than a breadbox? bigger than you? Manmade? Natural? Consisting of: wood? Glass? Ceramic? Plastic? Metal? Bone/teeth? Leather/skin/fur? Rubber? Cork? Fabric? Fiber? Liquid? Gas? Food? Paper/cardboard? Is it electric? Electronic? Expensive? Does it relevantly: break? Malfunction? Is it your object?

ARGH! I did miss them again. Here we go.
Problem-ish: potential problem? Yes and no. Keep exploring.Eventual problem? A problem for some but not others? Getting closer. A problem for which there is a clear solution? There would be, if… A temporary problem? Is the person saying it attempting to provide a solution?Yes. Guidance? Does the situation arise at home? No.Work? School? Commute? Other travel? At all times relevant to this puzzle, it has happened at some type of work or event I’m being paid for.In connection with food? Money? Everyday life? Special events? Is the problem-ish something related to: emotions? Relationships? Object(s)? Health? Your body? Not quite, but OTRT.Puzzles? Art? And possibly this, depending on what you mean. Media? Leisure? Time?
I also have more questions: is the required object bigger than a breadbox? No, and FA.bigger than you? Manmade? Yes.Natural? Consisting of: wood? Glass? Ceramic? Plastic? Metal? Bone/teeth? Leather/skin/fur? Rubber? Cork? Fabric? Fiber? This.Liquid? Gas? Food? Paper/cardboard? Is it electric? Electronic? Expensive? No to all. Does it relevantly: break? Malfunction? No to these. Is it your object? Yes, with the same FA.

Is there more than one object? Is the problem-ish something you did deliberately? Does it look like a mistake? An accident? Would there be a clear solution if it was a problem? Fiber object: hair? Wool? Other animal fiber? Plant fiber? Synthetic fiber? Carbon fiber? Glass fiber? Optical fiber? Fiberglass? Other fiber composite? Is the object(s): clothing? Decorative? Electronic? Tools? Is it something you wear? Carry? Change? Make something out of? Such as knitting something out of yarn? Is the color relevant? Edit: can it be called a substance? A material? A supply?

Is there more than one object? Yes. There are two. But they are two of the same thing. Is the problem-ish something you did deliberately? I'm not sure how to answer this without being misleading. Rephrase?
Does it look like a mistake? An accident? This. Would there be a clear solution if it was a problem? Absolutely. Fiber object: hair? Wool? Other animal fiber? Plant fiber? Synthetic fiber? The Googlebox says they're mostly synethetic now.Carbon fiber? Glass fiber? Optical fiber? Fiberglass? Other fiber composite? Is the object(s): clothing? Decorative? Electronic? Tools? Is it something you wear? It is attached to something you wear. Carry? Change? It is not coins, but it is something you can swap out for others of its kind. Make something out of? Such as knitting something out of yarn? Is the color relevant? No. Edit: can it be called a substance? A material? A supply? Nah, I wouldn't.

Is is shoelaces? Is it attached to: shoes? Pants? Shirts? Headwear? Gloves? Is the perceived problem that the two things are different? Are they different? Identical? The wrong something? Such as size? Type? Trousers? Are they knotted? Worn? Missing?

Is is shoelaces? It is! Is it attached to: shoes? Pants? Shirts? Headwear? Gloves? Is the perceived problem that the two things are different? Are they different? Identical? Yes. The wrong something? Such as size? They sure are. Type? Trousers? Are they knotted? They're tied the way one normally ties their shoes. Worn? Missing?

Do they appear to be: too thick? Too thin? Too long? Too short? Too many? Too few? The wrong type? Incorrectly routed? Incorrectly tied? Untied? Untiable? The wrong material? Is the perceived problem limited to the shoelaces? If not, is it also related to the shoes?

Do they appear to be: too thick? Too thin? Too long? They are too long. Too short? Too many? Too few? The wrong type? Incorrectly routed? Incorrectly tied? Untied? And they appear to be this. Untiable? The wrong material? Is the perceived problem limited to the shoelaces? If not, is it also related to the shoes? Irrelevant to the rest.

Are they deliberately too long? Are they tied in a way that the knot doesn't show? Or do the advice-givers jut not look very closely? Is the advice to tie them? Is the sentiment that you should do the thing for your own safety?

Are they deliberately too long? Are they tied in a way that the knot doesn't show? Either this or... Or do the advice-givers jut not look very closely? this. Is the advice to tie them? Is the sentiment that you should do the thing for your own safety? Yes to both. And I think that's enough for a...
SPOYL$R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have one pair of dress shoes. The shoelaces for them are way too long. So long so that people think they're untied whenever I'm wearing them. I think this is because I made a mistake the last time I needed to replace the shoelaces on them. They don't present a tripping hazard when they're tied, but no matter what I do I can't get them to stay tucked into my shoes, and I couldn't be bothered to get new laces. UNTIL NOW! Because I've had more occasions to wear those shoes than I regularly do, and every single time I wear them some helpful person tells me they're untied. If it's family or friends I can tell them not to worry about it, but I've regularly had to wear them in a professional capacity, and often the people telling me they're untied are the people who've hired me to do something, so I don't want to appear like a nonchalant buffoon (even though I absolutely am one). So instead of going through the whole rigamarole of telling them they actually are tied and that they're not a hazard to me, or, worse, ignoring the help, I say thanks, crouch down, and "fix" them. I can't be upset at anyone who's trying to be helpful. It's partly annoying because of the charade, and partly because I know it's going to happen any time I'm headed to one of these events.
These events could be any one of a number of things, hence the vagueness of some answers. I've worn them in gigs as a singer/piano player, I've worn them for promotional events relating to plays and films I've acted in, and I've worn them to a Neurodiversity in the Workplace seminar that I was invited to speak at. Funnily enough, the situation happened twice there. The first time, I went along with it. The second time I said screw it and explained the thing to the person, along with adding that I haven't replaced the shoelaces because I: a) don't care enough about it to prioritize buying new shoelaces, b) kept forgetting to, and c) probably wouldn't if I remembered and prioritized, because prioritizing things and then following through on them is one of the things I struggle with with my neurodivergence. This was the one place where they understood exactly what I meant and completely agreed with me!
