The blinker is turned on by sliding a button to the left or right. The button then returns to the center by a spring, but the blinker stays on. In order to turn off the blinker, I have to push in a small button on top of the sliding button. I can't see the blinkers, and the blinking indicator on the instrument is a hard-to-see blinking arrow on an LCD screen. I used to frequently forget to turn off the blinker, but if I think about turning it on as cocking the hammer of a single-action revolver, as seen in many westerns, it follows naturally that I should "pull the trigger" once I've aimed the moped in the direction I'm going, and thus turn off the blinker.
