[WiZ] Day Tripper (OAATP)

Postby WiZ » Mon Nov 20, 2023 11:24 pm

On 18 September 2014, a man takes a short return trip on a fine day. His journey there and back is uninterrupted and follows the same path, but it takes him over 50 times as long to come back as it did to go out. Why?

BOATS. Caveat Earlispoilor. You know the OAATP rules.

***** SPOILER *****

The world's deepest dive on open circuit scuba stands at 332.35m (1,090ft). It was undertaken by Ahmed Gabr in Dahab in the Red Sea on 18/19 September 2014 after nearly a decade of preparation. The descent took only 15 minutes while the ascent lasted 13 hours 35 minutes.

Congratulations on the solution (a joint effort in that final stretch, I think), and thank you everyone for playing!
