Is Methodism a religion that restricts the use of technology? This overlaps with bigotry, but gender roles relevant? Does his religion impact the time of day at which he can work? The amount of time he can work in a given period? None of these.
Did his conversation accompany a change in ideology that impacted his work? Yes. (Like, he thought about a particular issue or group of people differently?) No.
Did he have to move to join this religion? No.
Could he have converted to Methodism and still kept doing things the way he had before? He thought not. Did he used to do something that went against the tenets of the religion? Yes. Rather, does he start doing something else that is more in line with the religion? No. Is there a change that's imposed by his religion? Yes. Does he make a change that any adherent of Methodism is free to make or not make of their own volition? Today, yes; then, no. (God, could I be more wordy in trying to get my thoughts out?) I understand!
Is he a detective? Indirectly. Does he work in law enforcement? Yes. The legal system? No.
