Norella's list does not involve illegal activities or anything sexual, but she'd be awfully embarrassed if anyone saw it. How come??

Is the list related to Norella's job? a hobby of hers?

Is it a shopping list? a to-do list? a list of people? a list of events? a wishlist? a list with ideas?
If the latter, ideas for lateral puzzles? for stories? for poems?

I like that - "ideas for lateral puzzles." I hope that's it! It's not, but a few years ago I did post a puzzle that had this solution.

Let's see, what kind of lists did I make as a teenager that I would have been embarrassed to do any time since.
(Tries to remember back that far) Lists of boyfriends?
There was a game of crossing off letters in a girl's name and a boy's to see if they would pair up. Something like that?
Trying first name with various last names?
Or is it nothing to do with love/sex at all? (did we think about anything else as teenagers?)

There is a memory trick (which has been a subject of a puzzle on this forum) that associates things you want to remember with ridiculous or even obscene images about your house. Something like this? she writes down the imaginary scene instead of the subject she wants to remember?
Though making a list would seem to negate the purpose of a memory exercise.

I don't think this is something to be embarrassed about. I went on two dates with someone, and only after the second one did I realize that I had worn the same outfit on both of them - I wish I had kept a list of my outfits!
