Hi Jenny

Lets start with the obvious - She HAF? He HAM?

Is he in mortal danger?

Are these gunshots? Is he firing the gun? is she? someone else? Type of gun relevant ? A six shooter?

Would she know he was in trouble if she'd heard 5 shots ? or 7? Is there a crime being committed? Are the shots intended to injure/kill? or scare off? or maybe to highlight someone's location?

Is she blind by any chance?

If they are gunshots, are they all fired from the same gun?

Are she and he relatives? married? in a relationship? friends? acquaintances? co-workers? strangers?

Time and/or location relevant? If so, [LTPF list of centuries] and [LTPF list of countries] please.

So, is she his daughter?

Was he in legal trouble? In trouble related to his job? To his personal life?

Did he actually fire six shots? Was he in trouble simply because he fired the shots? Because of some consequence of him firing the shots (like the shots hitting something)? Would he be in trouble if he fired less than six shots? more?

Did he fire the shots to hit a specific target? To produce the gunshot sounds?

Could she see him fire the shots? Was she in the same location as he was at that moment?

Does she hear the shots because of her proximity to them ? Maybe she hears them over the phone? online? Does she hear them as they happened?

Is this a prearranged signal between father and daughter? Is his intention to only alert her to his trouble or would anyone hearing the shots know? Is the girl's mother relevant?

Was in he in a situation where discharging a gun would not be a crime? a shooting range? hunting?

Is he outdoors? is she?

Are the shots evenly spaced out? Is there a competing sound that she needs to distinguish the gunshots from? If he had randomly burst six balloons would this have served the same purpose?

Do the shots echo ? Is this relevant?

Does she know specifically what kind of trouble he is in? If so, trouble from another person? An animal? A force of nature? Is he stuck somewhere?

Could the shooting possibly help his situation at all? Or is it only a signal? The yes-ish to a "prearranged signal"--is it not prearranged, but he knows she will understand the meaning? Do they already share some relevant knowledge? Is he telling her that there are six of something?

So, he is stuck somewhere, and shooting six times might help him get out? Would five shots help less? Would seven help more?

Is he stuck under something? In an avalanche? A mudslide? A river? Is an animal involved?

Will she know specifically what type of danger he is in after hearing the shots? Do they help her track his movement?

********SPOILER********
So the father went to mountains to hunt. Along the way, he fell from his motorbike which landed on top of his leg and broke it. Since he was unable to move much, he managed to reach his gun and fired six shots, one per each minute. Then he passed out. His daughter recognized the signal and brought help.
