This puzzle is not invented by me. I think it might be a classic, but I am almost certain it did not show up on this (new and old) forum and I also did not find it in the Internet. So I give it a try. In case you know it, please PM me instead of $poiling it here.
So here it goes:

If Gina had not seen the sawdust, she wouldn't have died.

Can it be called an object? I'm not sure if the sawed off pieces can be called objects or things, anyway they were solid wooden parts.

Gina suffered from a kind of dwarfism. She started an expensive, experimental medical treatment. That day she returned home and noticed that she was taller in comparison to her furniture. She assumed that the therapy started working. She was very happy until she saw the sawdust. Then she realised that someone sawed all her furniture, making it lower. That meant she did not grow any taller. Desperate, Gina committed suicide.
