I think it was pretty good, too. I'm fairly certain it had nothing to do with balloons, hot air or otherwise. I don't think it was about the bends or any other internal malady--I've heard puzzles similar to that before, so it wouldn't have been novel enough for me to write down. It was probably based on something I heard on a podcast or the radio, so maybe a historical or scientific incident? Other than that I'm stumped. I can't even remember if he was HAM.
P.S. WiZ, I picture so many angry consumers punching their finger at the page in vain!

It was indeed! So nice to meet a fellow lateral puzzler in real life, and this is the second time I had this pleasure. I'm back from the States safe and sound, with 150 unread e-mails on my work account and 10 days to finish my research paper.
