Abbreviations

I'm new to writing and responding to these puzzles, could somebody help me out with some of the common abbreviations like yope, HAM/HAF, stuff like that?

AFAIK - As far as I know
BOATS - Based on a true story
BUWT - Barking up the wrong tree
DOYD - Depends on your definition
FA - False assumption
FYOI / FMOI / FSEI - From your own imagination / from my own imagination / from someone else's imagination
HAM / HAF - Human / adult / male (or female) (also HCM / HCF / HTM / HTF for child / teen)
IIRC - If I recall correctly
IRR - Irrelevant
LAEFTR - Left as an exercise for the reader
LTPF - Lateral Thinking Puzzle Forum
OTRT / OTWT - On the right/wrong track
ROIMBT- Read on Internet, must be true
SVV - Sufficiently Vague Values
WAG - Wild-Assed Guess
Yope - Yes and no

There's also svv (sufficiently vague values) but that isn't used much anymore. Very similar to DOYD.

So, it does stand for that. I had always assumed as much, but was too polite to request confirmation.

A couple rarely used ones are
LAEFTR - Left As an Exercise For The Reader
and
BUWT - Barking Up the Wrong Tree (basically the same as OTWT)

OOATP = "One at a time, please" (a puzzle type where each solver is only allowed to ask one question, or set of stacked questions, between each of the puzzle host's responses)
