My department was looking to hire a statistician. My supervisor Nina - who is a research group leader and full professor - and I took one of the candidates for lunch and made some work-related conversation. Nina told him about our work, dropping several hints of varying subtlety that she was a professor. At some point, Ryan asked "So, are you both postdocs?", which showed that he hadn't really been paying attention to Nina. Nina replied "No, I'm a full professor, but I'm glad that I look young enough to pass as a postdoc".
