Sundowner
Was the train connection between your home and the airport interrupted due to the storm? Yes or the public transport between you workplace and your home? No/irrel (I bike to work)
Did you expect the trains would be late and it would be too risky to travel home first? "Not running at all" rather than late, but yes so you decided to go from your workplace directly to the airport? Yes
trebor2
Did you expect that more people would be taking the train than if it hadn't been storming? No Were you worried that you wouldn't be able to get home and to the airport in time? Yes (Perhaps fewer people walking/biking, or feeling safe driving their own vehicles?) Does your concern with being able to get home have anything to do with sports/the competition, other than needing a screwdriver? No (In other words, if this had been just a vacation and you had planned on picking up your luggage after work prior to going to the airport, would you still have brought your stuff with you to work once you realized there would be a storm? Yes)
The thing that you brought the screwdriver for: piece of sporting equipment? Lacrosse stuff? Is it something that is perfectly fine to carry on public transportation as is, but would be too big for a suitcase/carry-on without being taken apart? Yes to all Relevant? Just for context
Well done, Sundowner and trevor! Time for the
********SPOILER********
My lacrosse team had an evening flight to Norway, so I had planned to go to work, pick up my luggage at home afterwards, and then go to the airport. However, the national rail service announced that trains would stop running at 2pm due to the storm. So I decided to head straight to the airport after work, which means that I had to take all of my luggage with me - including a screwdriver that we use to disassemble our sticks to make them fit our luggage. (We made it to Norway but were stuck there on our way back, but that's a different story)
