[Sarisberie] The Wheels on the Bus

Postby Sarisberie2 » Fri Mar 03, 2023 3:18 am

I got off the bus, but something was wrong. What was it, why was I out of pocket and why was I late for work?

Were you at the wrong stop? Were you going to work? Relevant what your job is? Relevant where you work?

Traffic delays relevant? Construction? Did the bus break down?

Were you out of pocket because you had to pay more now for a ride to work? Were you late because you were lost? Because the bus didn’t take you where it was supposed to? Because you got off at the wrong stop?

Or intend to do so? Relevant where you work? What you do there? Are you a bus driver? Was there something wrong with the bus? Thr route the bus took? The time the bus took? Did you cause the money issue? The lateness issue?

Were you out of pocket because you realized that all was your own fault? Did you have to work on a Sunday and did not take into account that the timetable is different? Did the bus schedule change recently?

In the ‘80s, I lived in Kent, and worked at High Holborn in London. I had to catch the 6am bus to get there in time. That day, I arrived with 2 completely different shoes due to tiredness + getting dressed in the dark. I had to buy a new pair in order to appear professional, and got a rocketing from my manager for being late.

Well done trebor2, Sundowner64, Fate--, and to GALFISK for the solve :-)
