Was the event bumped earlier to finish before the storm occurred? Yes! Had the storm not occurred, would you have been watching the event the next day? Either that or not watched it at all
Do we need to know what sport it was? No, but see above/below Do we need to know what city it took place in? No (I have no idea if this would happen, but thinking that possibly the elevation or proximity to the ocean or whatever could impact the ferocity of the storm.)

I like watching college lacrosse, but I usually don't watch midweek games as they tend to start around 6 pm, which is midnight here in Germany. Two weeks ago, a 7 pm game was moved to 4:30 pm (i.e. 10:30 pm in Germany) due to a storm that was projected to hit the area later. I planned to watch the first half and then go to bed, but ended up staying up late and watching the entire game.
